Hai everyone, it`s been a while I don`t post anything in my blog due to my business, hehe, busy in college, about pharmacology, pathology, journalism, greeky stuff, and recently after doing Disaster Management Simulation at Naval Academy Surabaya, I think it`s time to start caring about my skin again, after getting lil sunburned that makes my skin tanner. Yes, it`s tan not so dark because at weekend the weather was nice, cloudy.

So, at first I`d like to introduce my new haul today, about Red A cosmetic, which is under brand of Viva Cosmetic, purely originated from Indonesia and for Indonesian. Actually, at market I first choose Wardah Skincare, particularly in Lightening Series to complete my skincare, but, after reviewing at some blogs, it readily causes some acne prone, which I have to avoid because my goal now is maintaining the healthy and clean skin, for lightening, I use oatmeal and lemon mask to complish it.

So, let`s talk about Red A, why I choose Red A?

Because, it`s cheap !!! Very cheap, anywhere could be found, and the ingredients are safe enough for my skin, which is non pore-clogging

Pore Clogging Ingredients You Should Avoid

Now, I wanna talk again about skincare, which is , my concern now, hihihi, sounds like if I am pleased to choose, for residency post - medical school, I`d like to be neurologist/ paediatrician/ dermatologist :)))
Making new natural remedy combat with safe environment and safe medically product and treatment, maybe I can make lemon squeeze salt facial for brightening uneven skin complexion . Hahaha, it`s just a chit chat, let`s go to the point...

Nowadays, many products (skincare) offer its own positive side, like :

• Brightening only for two weeks
• With apple extract to remove blackhead and whitehead
• Pinkish white facial foam
• Etc,,,,

But they don`t give the side effect of using them. LOL, who don`t wanna get rich? if they (manufacturer) claims the positive side with side effect might be happened by using that , as you can see in drug / pharmacologycal stuff, the manufacturer will be bankrupt soon, because of too many blackbox warning product instead of the positive function.

Of course it`s back to who use it, does she/he have sensitive? acne prone? comby? dry? flaky? The wise of our choose also give good result combined with RIGHT PRODUCT.

I haven`t got any dermatology lecture yet in my college, I`m still in 5th term now, but I have read some SOP of Ilmu Kesehatan Kulit dan Kelamin (Dermato-venerology) in Dr. Soetomo Surabaya Hospital. Which, surprisingly chemical peel using TCA (Trichloro Acetic Acid) in many notorious aesthetic clinic basically is a healing for Kutil Kelamin -Condyloma acuminata- as famous as called as Genital Wart.
No offense, but, if using TCA peel sounds like you have genital wart to be cleaned. :D In fact, it`s only acne marks, scar, etc. Be wise again ladies and gentleman

Yesterday, I went to go facial because in the next 5 or 4 days again, Ied Day, the winning day after one month moeslem around the world doing fasting in this Ramadhan. Who doesn`t wanna be pretty? Of course, I wanna be looked pretty at that day, moreover my skin need to be treated well as few days ago I got acne breakout due to :

• using mask that doesn`t match with my skin
• the excess of using not-match lightening night cream
• it`s been two months stressful and tired , when I got to finish this and that thing at my campus, including parasitology remedial, microbiology final exam, proposal for research, charity, etc. 

So, now I have to more loving my skin, hihi, this is the time. Usually, I got facial treatment at Alya Salon & Day Spa, which I`ve reviewed it .

Now, I`d like to try another, the biggest and most notorious, Viol*tta with its purple complexion colour at exterior and interior building. Because, many my friends go there for treatment, spa, etc. I only had fitness, sauna, and swimming experience there.

At first, I have my own purpose, this facial time isn`t just facial, I want to try microdermabrasion! Yes, because I think my acne isn`t so inflammating, the rest is just black post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It`s only took Rp. 180.000,00 here to get Facial + Microdermabrasion. I think it`s really worth it.
That was my first thought, when I was there, I was consulted to not try MD because I still have acne "doh. The receptionist suggested me to have Facial Oxygen Regular worth Rp. 150.000,00. Oh, maybe I would get some oxygen infusion treatment, like oxygen serum, or anything else. So I accept.

The way I don`t like from the first talking to her (receptionist) is she talks with me as long as complaining to her friend beside her about "the loss customer today after cancelled reservation". Please, your job is only receptioning customer right, not also the marketing! I honestly don`t like double role. If I compare with Alya, receptionist there was so very very delighting, very very soft in talk and smile, and I just like it, that`s the first one minus for Violetta which has not so-charming and professional receptionist. Not just that, the second minus is, air conditioner so hot, even Gresik is so hot, my not-equipped house is cooler than Violetta, really!.

Then, there`s one woman beautician call my name and accompany me to the treatment site. This place has many rooms to do treatment. As I walking corridoor, there are several beauty tools / machine such as liposculpture, oxygen bla bla bla, and etc. Here`s the condition of the treatment room. Still, equipped by purple colour, big mirror, one curtain dividing two beds in one room, almost transparant door, which , the loudness of corridor walk heard from inside (the other beauticians outside spoke loudly in Javanese, it`s messy). When I changed my clothes in tube, in that room, the beautician almost three times went in, y u no see I`m still changing !

For the room, still, hot air conditioner, dull music, look not sterile beauty bottles filled with many creams, and one lamp, no steam machine, and I could see what treatment my beside woman got, it`s peel off mask. Alright this is so bad room, I don`t like it. Up to now, I got nothing I like from this whole building-customerization-accentuation- but purple colour.

This is where it starts

This is what you`ll see from the bed, the unlock door, which you can hear noise outside the room

Beautician start applying milk cleanser, toner, with very HARSH movement! Not as soft as when I got facial in Alya!!! I felt guilty to spend my 150K for this kind of treatment! Then she scrubbed my face with that soft bead. I like this bead. And I felt somewhat itchy and tingling feeling, I ask her if it`s that okay continuing treatment with this itchy feel. Yes that`s okay. Alright.

Then she apply white mask, which is very very very painful. She called it by chemical peeling. What!! I spoke I used tretinoin and still questioning the same thing, she said okay, because it`s still used in low concentration. Okay

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, SHE ALSO TYPING ON HER BB PHONE ONCE WITH TREATING MY FACE. You can imagine how it`s not sterile !!!

Then, she left me for some 15 or 20 minutes as I got bored and took my phone to play solitaire.

She came back, washing my masked - face with warm washcloth. Covered my eyes with wet cotton, not cucumber !. And no steam, no steaming, I know it`s important to open the clogged pore, but she started picking up my comedo in forehead by no steaming. Which I actually notice it because there`s no steamer in that room. And after picking up four or five comedo in my forehead, she started typing on her bb phone again, and said "Mbak, bentar ya" / "Excuse me for a while sist"

Alright, I wish this isn`t too long, but it wasn`t!!! She left me for almost 15 minutes. With that unfinished comedo extracting. Oh I just wanna go away from this place and not paying for 150K , for this low quality service like this. Then she came in again, extracting only my nose, my under eye pore, and that whole extraction not more than 15 minutes long. She asked me when the last facial I got, I answer two months ago. But that doesn`t mean you don`t extract my comedo in my other area, can you believe me, with my acne prone oily pimpleing skin she just 15 MINUTES extracting !!! It`s a big big mistake.

Then she applied green clay mask which she called it by Tea Tree Mask. This is one I like because it`s cooling, that`s it. Alright, she left me again. And back again by removing my mask, applying lotion in my face, and finish.

When I notice my face in the big mirror in that room, I see there`s still some white cream / mask leftover in my nose, indicating that she didn`t clean it well, and like usual, reddish nose only, with still comedo !

From now on I promise to my self I just only give my face treatment in Alya.

Review Skincare : Biokos Pure Balance Purifying Gel Cleanser & Astringent

My 2nd post today, hello everyone again, this time I`m gonna write about Biokos again, because this skincare line is popular amongst my big family, my mother, sister, auntie use this. From Botulike until Dermabrite. Alright, I try to review , so let`s check these out.

Purifying Gel Cleanser
Help to remove excessive oil without drying. The active ingredient is Bio-Hazel extract to maintain skin`s natural balance of oil and Pro Vitamin B5 to help skin achieve perfect moisture level, leaving your skin fresher. According to Wound Management lecture by Prof. David Perdanakusuma, Sp.BP that I recently had, it`s best when your skin, even it is wounded or normal is moisture, from dry to moist, and from oily, wet to moist. So, moist is the key. I agree with this Biokos word on the bottle.

From packaging, last from 2007 until now, the bottle is so so, no change, greeny, medium size for 150ml and fat / chubby.
As you open the bottle, you`ll see how big the mouth is, it`s very hard to control how much amount of gel popped out from the bottle, and if you`re careless, it will overdue, and I think it`s little not hygiene with this kind of opening.
Then you`ll smell the fresh fragrance, but it`s too much. For those who get allergies easily with any kind of perfume, don`t try to use this.
Then the texture is very greeny clear, cool, and I like it, it`s just like transparent mayoneisse :) and easy to absorb by our skin
The power to remove make up is very good, only with one lap you can see the lipstick and eyeliner is washed away, and with twice until three times, your skin is definitely cleaner.
After few minutes post-using this, I feel my skin is very moist and I like to touch it more, but the perfumes still leaves there :(((

Daily Morning Makeup Routine

Happy Sunday everyone, let`s simply thank to God for blessing our day with joyful and cheerful everyday. And this Sunday, I got nothing to do at my house, so let me post this stuff.
Well, girls are girls, every morning we must do something to get better (more beautiful) I believe it in any age (except infant :p)
This is my routine Holy Grail for almost 3 years since I was in 12 grade High School, but no for the lip and eye brow thing. I use these two stuff when I start in college. Why I choose these products?
1. My skin is very sensitive - oily - acne prone - blemishes , and once an acne grows in my skin, especially my cheek, it will leave dark spot, every !!! hiks :(( . And these products are, quite friendly
2. Easy to get, I don`t like buy and trial and then my skin worsening, oh, it`s very stressful
3. Recommended by Physicians, especially for Parasol, works well with my tretinoin at night
4. Cheap, yes !! Cheap cheap cheap :D

Review salon n day spa yg oke di kabupaten gresik ini , selain di Violetta Health n Beauty Centre
Lokasi Alya Salon n Day Spa ini di kompleks perumahan GKB, lebih dekat dari arah Manyar drpd dari arah Surabaya
Alya ini women only, tempatnya bagus, desain minimalis campur ekletik campur tradisional, dan mbak2 resepsionis sampe beauticiannya super ramah :)))
Alya punya 2 lantai untuk treatment2, lantai pertama buat Spa2, hair treatment, resepsionis, ruang tunggu, sedangkan lantai kedua untuk aesthetic treatment
Sebenernya bukan pertama kali ini di bulan Juni yang lalu aku melakukan treatment disini, sudah 2x facial di masa2 yg lalu (tapi ga teratur) jadi ga berefek apa2 selain lebih bersih
Well, untuk kedatangan di bulan Juni ini, Alhamdulillah ga antri, aku hanya disuruh nunggu 10 menit untuk persiapan, nunggunya di ruang tunggu lantai 1 diiringi lagu2 gending jawa yg uadem didengar, sip pokoknya. :)
Setelah itu, ada mbak beautician yg mengantar aku ke lantai 2, trus disana diberi kain batik, disuruh ganti pake itu, oke, sebelum2nya juga pake begini tapi bukan kain batik, cuma kaya babydoll gitu warna creme. Di ruangan itu, sekitar 6 x 6m ada 3 bed, dengan mbak2 beautician yg lagi sibuk mentreatment pasiennya hihihii
oke, aku dpt bed pojok jd lumayan adem deket dinding lah, lalu mbak beautician dtg, nyalain lampu sinar tepat di atas wajahku, trus bilang "Ini pakai facial acne ya, soalnya ada jerawatnya banyak di dahi"
hiks, berarti bakal lama nih ekstraksinya, oke deh aku turutin mbak
Same as usual facial, cucumber on my eyes, scrubbing, steaming, cleansing - toning, extraction, masking, repairing, but, yg paling aku suka mask nya adeeeeeemmm, apalagi sehabis ekstraksi komedo dll itu kaya langsung dimasukin kulkas mukaku. Trus mbaknya juga telaten banget, waktu aku mulai nangis gara2 saking banyaknya komedo di sekitar hidung yg diekstraksi, mbaknya telaten mengusap2 teardrop pake tissue, hiks hiks. Alhasil, 2,5 jam ekstraksi sangat sangat berhasil membersihkan pori2 yg super duper kotor, walopun day 1 after ekstraksi muka jd kepiting rebus
"beauty is pain"
Well, setelah semua selesai, eh ada massage buat leher + tangan + kaki lho, :D senangnya, walaupun ga semempan akupressur, tpi gapapa dah, lumayann, trus dikasih wedang teh jahe + biskuit setelah facial itu

Trus waktu mau ke kamar mandi, mbak beauticiannya menyarankan supaya aku beli krim mlm nya juga, oke lah, gpp for beauty !!!

Sekalian review hasilnya yaaaa,,, setelah seminggu - dua minggu - tiga minggu, wajahku bner2 bersih, mulus, kenyal, walopun ttp ada pigmentasi hasil acne2 yg udah terlanjur terpencet, tapi bener2 bersih, I LOVE IT :)))

Krim malam ini adalah rangkaian perawatan seri White n Clear dari Biokos (line SariAyu) ,, secara ga diplanning belinya, waktu itu mama titip beli Biokos Age Repair Anti Wrinkle Moisturizing Cream buat usia 40s, eh SA lg diskon
Berhubung tante, mama, n kakak udah pernah coba Biokos dari macam facial wash sampe serum, jadi aku coba beli ini,, harga aslinya Rp. 47.000,00 setelah diskon jadi Rp. 37.000,00
Yaa, lumayan bgt kan :)))

Jadiii secara kemasan, bagus, warnanya pink soft gitu case nya, ada aluminium foil penutup cream jar sama tutupnya, jd kalo make foilnya mending dikupas dikit aja biar hygiene nya lbih trjaga drpd foilnya dibuka smua
Oh iya, isinya 30gram , bahan aktifnya BioMulberry extract,, n ketika dibuka, baunya wangi banget sumpah
Wangi vanila campur bunga2an gitu, perfumenya banyak kali ya
Teksturnya lebih encer drpd night cream2 lain,, sangat mudah meresap ,,
Krn mukaku tergolong sensitif, pemakaian pertama langsung panas rasanya *hiks,,, trus aku pikir, mungkin bahan aktifnya lg deep invasion ke kulitku, okee aku tunggu bbrp menit sambil doing something else
Lalu aku ga sengaja rubbing daguku yg juga tercover sama cream itu, kaget bgt, why
Ada semacam daki2 putih yg terbentuk, entah itu exfoliated cell ku apa creamnya yg menggumpal aku gtw , yg jelas absurd bgt, lebih ber daki drpd waktu pake peeling
Okee, gpp, paginya aku bangun dgn perasaan biasa saja "sigh"
Yg ada mukaku malah oily sekali

Well setelah 3mingguan pake ini, i havent noticed anything changed in my face except
1. More oily
2. No lightening effect, justru malah memerah kecoklatan
3. More acne prone T___T (padahal waktu masih pake tretinoin n cream mlm skincare yg biasa aku pake mulus2 aja)
4. Comedogenic

Mungkin krim ini cocok sama beliau2 yg sudah berumur mungkin, krn komposisinya yg sangat greasy
